UnlockediPhone.info SCAM. New iPhone 3.1.3 Unlock Solution SCAM. They say that they have a solution but they actually just post reports from the Dev Team website.

Around the world people have their hands on iPhones, and if you have an iPhone then jailbreaking and unlocking should be familiar terms to you.

Feb 2010, Apple launched its new firmware 3.1.3 which automatically updated your firmware to 5.12.01. Many iPhone owners were left hanging because there weren’t any solutions out for this and the released date for such a solution was just a blank.

However the dev team did release a solution on the 3rd week of June 2010, and that worked for most iPhones except the new bootrom versions.

Most of the people would not get the steps right the first time and they would obviously go out searching online for more simpler solutions… sites like www.unlockediphone.info are there waiting in for preys with a make believe one click solution! But ultimately its just a site that has no contact info or physical address and just a copy paste email system.

Our iPhone Unlock Solution:

We have developed our own unique iPhone unlocking solution and we are confident to say that our unlock is the safest, most easiest iPhone Unlocking solution on the market today.

Our solution is simple and failsafe, and will fully unlock any version iPhone, completely hassle Free, without having to worry about updates or complicated instructions!

Our Solution Enables you to activate any iPhone on any network, any carrier, any SIM card. No need to provide any information to AT&T, This is not a technical hardware unlock, No need to soldering/opening your iPhone. You can restore your iPhone to original state, You can use it on as many iPhones you want, works with any iPhone, any Provider, any Simcard! Fully iPhone optimized.

They charge you anywhere from $30-$60 bucks for a software solution that they have no clue how to make, so they just post tutorials in their “members only” section!

Call me crazy but I wanted to see this for real and so I spent $41 through paypal, and guess what… they have no company address either. The payment goes right through SWREG payment system and so if you have to file a reclaim or refund, chances are low that you would get your money back even if you made a PayPal debit.

After payment, I emailed them saying you guys just post up solutions from the Dev Team website word for word and there is nothing that they can call “Theirs” as mentioned on the website… and this is what I hear back from them.

We developed our own solution, but currently offer this solution
as it does perfectly what we advertise. We are working to complete
our own solution so let me know if you have any questions

Let us know if you have further questions.
–
Kind Regards,
Jane
www.unlockediphone.info

Sureee… Thats like saying we advertise Watermelons but right now we just sell posters of watermelons. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!

Stay away from paid vendors like these who claim to have a one-click solution. They DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING with them other than a flimsy website with a payment solution for others hard work.

UnlockediPhone.info Scam…. UnLock solution for all iPhones that is not theirs!!

My Pad file had a few errors, and was notified by this website Free-to-try.com for a few times… I did not care less of the one site out of the millions that rejected my PAD file. So they did remove my file… end of story…

But then this guy “Andy” from Armenia comes on my website, uses our live support and has this condescending conversation with our Live Customer Help… (Note that this is after they have removed our listing from thier website)

Andy : May I know if who manages your webmaster@mycompany.com email address and why no action is taken when we report PAD errors for “Product Name” listing on free-to-try.com due to unsupported category “Category 1 Category 2″?! BTW, can you say if what is the PAD generator software you use that generates PAD files with such stupid errors?

Live Help: Hello Andy, We use Pad Generator and Not sure why this error shows up.
Andy: Which one? And why you do not correct your PAD files after receiving 5 error reports
Live Help: It should be done in the next day or so. If it is not, I ll contact the apt person for it and get it done.
Live Help: May i ask, Who am i talking to?
Andy: When done, please resubmit your PAD file because it has been removed due to repeated errors, the submission form is located at free-to-try.com/submit.php
Live Help: I ll look into it.
Andy: OK, thanks

So I am sitting on my chair and wondering… This guy must be really missing me from his website! Even after Pad removal, he has to come online to give his loving advice… But even after the removal of a listing… does anyone have the right to come to a Professional Company Website and talk like this to a Live Help Professional Doing his/her job?

OK so the Pad file is removed from his website…. so get over it… I am trying to understand why was he so restless? Anyway this whole thing threw me off, so i went to check out the site for the first time… to see what exactly is this site. Well needless to say, it had alot of file listings from other companies and softwares, and a million extra banner ads, and My google Toolbar just showed a PR rating of 2… hmmmm…

So I send them a contact message from thier website asking Who has the right to talk rude to our Representative just for having some errors… Well the same thing can be said nicely. And this guys responses were hillarious…

(This probably may look like a webmasters ”stick” fight… but I am just trying to see the picture here…)

My Response “Sorry, A professional company like ours does not want to maintain relations with a PR2 company that shows all characteristics of a PR2 company!“

free-to-try.com Andy – “BTW, how much income has a professional company like yours on selling images? Who do you think you are?!“

(Now hes curious on how much our company is worth? Well this just keeps getting better and better huh… undermining and condescending…)

free-to-try.com Andy – “To make you know more about our PR2 company, enjoy your domain listing in our black list at http://www.free-to-try.com/blacklist.php that we share for free with everyone.“

…. Which when i tried to open, gave me an Open Save Dialog… lol… Just what I Needed… Free-to-try PHP files!!!!!! Webmaster probably didn’t configure PHP on his server… or maybe it was a Black list file just for me… awww …. Well I finally did open up the file in Wordpad, and it has a huge list of websites (not even in HTML code but just one after the other)… around 1200 websites that probably he might have demeaned over the years!

What I am trying to say is, these people need to know where to draw the line. If they talk like this to all of thier customers then I wonder what is keeping them up for so long! I could also have told him “If you are rude and condescending because you are tired of your job going through a few pad files everyday… then probably get another job…” But i tried to be the better person.. and ended the conversation with “My eyes are now opened to a compelete Customer Satisfaction Experience”

Well the whole point of this article is to probably get an opinion on whats going on with the Online world? Having an online company means people do not have to have dignity? or Respect for other companies?
Is it a routine to be rude to and to bully all customer representatives?

The puzzle of the internet world continues… (and Free-to-try’s mean-ness)

Here is what a typical email would look like…

Dear CEO,
We are the domain name registration organization in Asia, which mainly deal with international company’s in Asia. We have something important need to confirm with your company.
On the Mar. X , 2008, we received an application formally. One company named “XXX company ” wanted to register following

Domain names:
MyDomain.cn
MyDomain.com.cn
MyDomain.net.cn
MyDomain.org.cn
MyDomain.tw
MyDomain.com.tw
MyDomain.hk
MyDomain.com.hk
MyDomain.asia

Internet brand keyword:
MyDomain
through our body.

After our initial examination, we found that the keywords and domain names applied for registration are as same as your company’s name and trademark. These days we are dealing with it. If you do not know this company, we doubt that they have other aims to buy these domain names. Now we have not finished the registration of Luyun AP Company yet, in order to deal with this issue better, Please contact us by telephone or email as soon as possible.

Best Regards,

Auditing Department
TEL: 00852-8122 6293
FAX: 00852-8125 7328
Email:solomon.hu_asiadns.org.cn
Web: star-east.hk

Oh Yeh it would get you going for a while… You would be concerned about some Lolo company getting your domain name…! So pop them with the most obvious questions… Ofcourse now that they know they got your attention, and that there is indeed someone to respond to this particular email address… they send their “very concerned” yet helpful reply…

If you have no relationship with them. According to our working experience, there are 2 possibilities:
1. XXX company is a domain name investment company, they want to register these names before you and sell back to you to gain profits.
2. It may be a commercial method, XXX company is consigned by your competitor to register, make your clients confused.

We knew you have registered the domain name “MyDomain.com” and own the intellectual property, this is why we informed you. But now XXX company do not want to register your trademark or domain name “MyDomain.com”, they wanted to apply for other domain names and keyword you have not registered yet. Because domain name takes open registration, this is international domain name registration principle. So XXX company has right to register it. As a domain name registrar, we have no right to dispute their application. So required by China government to inform your company to protect your interest.

As the owner of “MyDomain.com”, you will get the priority to register these domain names and keyword. Of course, each company has their own idea. If you don’t think their application will affect your company, you can give up, we will finish their registration. But if you think their registration will confuse your clients and harm your profits, we can send an application form to you and help you register these within dispute period. This is the only way to prevent domain name grab. Hope get your decision ASAP, so that we can handle the next step.

Best regards

and

Both in the same day, both look almost the same.

Hopefully the search engines wil pick up on these two in this post, and people will find them here.

They almost got me also. I got as far as getting the less than impressive “registration” document with the more than impressive pricing. Took a look at their website and wasn’t convinced, so started googling them and came across this article.

I have to say it’s a clever scam and an effective one….I hate to think how much they are making. But at least they are greedy…if the costs on the registration document had been significantly less, they may have got me after all.

Thanks for the post !!!!!

I freaked out at first, and to protect our company’s identity, we actually called and wrote to them to confirm this matter. All she said was, if you don’t want people to steal the identity, I will send you a quotation so that you can reserve your domain and identity. Suprise, surprise! The price she sent us was triple of what we normally pay for all of our domains! Started to realise that this was a scam, I quickly register the suggested domain that involves our company name with the normal host. Guess what. after months of ignoring this company’s threat, I received another one today:

Dear Miss/Sir

I am very sorry that you handle this matter with such attitude. I can’t contact you for such a long time. I also don’t know where is the key problem is.I just want to help you protect intellectual property right instead of you would do as what I said to you. You own the preferential right to register these domain names, but it does not mean it belongs to you. If you think they are not important for you, you can abandon and we will register for Universe Limited Company.Once Universe Limited Company apply successfully, the possess right of these domain names belongs to Universe Limited Company not yours. That means you will lose the market in these domains. It becomes the key point of why the global domain names becomes so important. For it affects whether a company brand can exist or not.If you think we are helping you, pls contact us asap for the dispute time is almost at its end. Pls tell us your decision so that we can handle the next step.

Best Regards,

It included my company’s name in the subject line. The company presented itself as asiadm. They claimed that “Hutien Fmtr Company” or “Hktie Fmt Company” (the company’s name changed during the course of the email) was after a long laundry list of versions of my company’s name. They also claimed that they also wanted to register the name of the company as an Internet trademark, which I believe is the same as our name. (May be mistaken).

I had my suspicions about this email and started Googling. I’m glad I found this article. There doesn;t seem to be a whole lot of info in cyberpace on this yet.
